The Shell Rock Community
Historical Society is sponsoring
a "Toys of Yesteryear" open house event
on Saturday, July 18th from 10 a.m. To 4 p.m.
We are collecting all sorts of games,
dolls, bears, trucks, tractors, trains
, and airplanes as well as bikes, sleds,
and rocking horses. We have Legos, jacks,
marbles, and Lincoln logs too as well as a
lot of surprises that will delight and bring
back fond memories. If you would like to
loan us your treasures for the event,
bring them to the museum on
Saturday, July 11th
between 10 a.m. - 12 p.m.,
or by appointment.

Be sure to bring the child in you
as well as your own children and grandchildren
to try a hoola hoop or blow bubbles on

JOIN HISTORICAL SOCIETY HERE​

​​​​​​​​​​A Great Decisions study and discussion
group is beginning on Thursday morning,
June 4th from 10:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. At
the Shell Rock Public Library in the meeting
room. The program offers a study booklet
and a video providing non-partisan background
information on a range of foreign policy issues
each year. This year's topics are
1) America's Global Role;
2) Trump's Tariffs;
3) U.S. - China Relations;
4) Today's Nuclear Age;
5) Ukraine and European Security;
6) Multilateral Institutions;
7) U.S. Engagement of Africa;
8) The Future of Human Rights.
We will work on one topic a month
with the exception of October when
we meet twice in order to finish by the
end of the year. All are invited to join.
Participation in the group is free.
The program moderator is Dr. Barbara Dilly.
