Benny Gambaiani Public Library: Open Year Round

Computer lab, Internet, Online Book Catalog, Available meeting room to reserve, Preschool Story Hour during school year,  Pajama Story Time offered spring/fall, Nite Hike, Summer Reading Program and Summer Reading Story Hour.

Fourth Friday Fry:  4th Friday of each month from January to October, annually

Shell Rock Women's Club Spring Tea: TBD

The Shell Rock Women’s Club hosted another successful Spring Tea Luncheon.  Our 4th Annual Tea was hosted at Faith Lutheran Church in Shell Rock.  Over 130 women joined us for a time of visiting, fun, food, gifts and a special speaker.

Spring Swing Show: 2011:  TBD   All adult variety show, features a 50 member chorus, a 16-piece stage band, and center stage acts.  Drawing its cast from several surrounding communities, performances given during 12 shows over two weekends to an audience of 5,000.  The group has also performed in Des Moines and other metro areas. 

All you can Eat Dad's Belgian Waffle Brunch: TBD

Sponsored by Shell Rock Development Corporation and Shell Rock Lion's Club.  9:00am to 12:30pm at the Boyd Community Building.  Serving Waffles, Sausages, Flavored Syrups and Beverages.  Adults: $6.00, Children 6-12: $4.00, Children aged 5 & younger eat free and Carry Outs are available.  Proceeds go to support the Lions Club community projects.

Shell Rock Swimming Pool: Open during the summer months

Open after school year ends and closes after the school year begins.  Swimming lessons and Aquacise classes offered.

Shell Rock Royalty:  TBD

Each year Miss Shell Rock, Little Mister Shell Rock and Little Miss Shell Rock are selected through an informal judging process.  The winners are announced at the annual Fourth of July celebration and Miss Shell Rock has the opportunity to run for Butler County Queen.

Known for it's 4thof July Celebration includes a Parade, Live Music, Food, Fireworks Display, Inflatable Rides, Kiddie Parade, Sunday in the Park, Waterball contests, Kiddie Tractor Pulls and more!!!

Rediscover the beautiful Shell Rock River with family, friends and neighbors.  This event will showcase the natural surroundings and community spirit that make Shell Rock such a great place to live, work and play.  Events include: Kids fishing contest, Canoe Rides, Kayak Demonstrations, Adult Fishing Contest, River Art Projects,  Kids' Casting Contest, Pie Eating Contest, Chili Cook-off, Fish Fry,  Canoe/Kayak Races and more!

Shell Rock Fire Department's Annual Pancake Breakfast:  TBD

From 8:00am to 1:30pm at the Shell Rock Boyd Building.  Adults $5.50 and 12 and Under $3.00 for pancakes, sausage, milk, juice and coffee.

Shell Rock Town Christmas Open House & Bazaars: TBD

Located in homes, businesses churches and the Boyd Community Building.  Over 50 exhibitors showcasing Food, Crafts, Antiques, Woodworking, Gifts, Home Based Businesses and MORE!!
