The City of Shell Rock bills for water, sewer and garbage for all citizens within the city limits.

Water is billed by the gallon and sewer charges are based on water usage. Garbage is charged by the size of container you have from a 35 to a 96 gallon size.  All households also receive a 35 gallon curbside recycling container.

The bills are sent out on the 1st of the month and are due on the 20th day of the month. All households are required to make a customer deposit of $75.00 in order to get the billing started. The deposit is refundable if there are no delinquencies and you must submit a request for refund of the deposit in writing.

Telephone service is provided by BevComm. 

Electricity and gas are provided by MidAmerican Energy Company.

Cable service is provied by Mediacom.
